FREE SUMMER HEADSTART CLASSES FOR NEW PUPILS

The free summer head start is given to new pupils who has enrolled for the school ear 2012-2013.
Those who are enrolled in Kinder 1 are given the two months intensive nursery course. This is compulsory for those who have not taken a nursery course.

EDNDO SUMMER MUSIC PROGRAM: PIANO AND VOICE LESSONS ROLLS ON!

The Piano and Voice lessons for the participants of the EDNDO summer music program has started. The fee for 12 sessions is P2,400.00 at P200.00/1 hour session.
The teachher is MR. JOHN ROGER A. OBJA-AN.
Mr. J. R.A. Obja-an is a 4th year BSE Major in Music at the Philippine Normal University. He is a member of the PNU Chorale. PNU Chorale won 4 gold medals and grand champion award at the International Choral competition in Bandung, Indonesia last July 2010 and silver award at Busan, Korea last November 2010. PNU Chorale received ANI NG DANGAL award from the Natonal Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCAA). Mr. J.R.A. Obja-an was the champion in PNU Kundiman Fiesta 2011, college level, solo singing last February 2011. Mr. J.R.A. Obja-an is also the President of PNU Societyof Young Music Educators. He has consistently received Academic Excellence Awards.

EDNDO GOES INCLUSIVE

ESCUELA DEL NIÑO DE ORO, goes inclusive. This opens the school to children with special educational needs (CSEN), with mild and moderate intellectual disabilities, who have attended special education classes and are recommended for mainstreaming.

For this purpose the Directres, Adela Alcantara Obja-an, a holder of the Doctor of Philosophy in Education has enrolled herself in the Graduate School of University of the Philippines Diliman. He is taking another Doctorate in Special Education with specialization on the intellectually impaired.

The new global trend of inclusive education has given rise to inclusive schools. This shift opens regular schools to children with special needs. Pupils with special needs attend regular classes. An intervention program is designed for each.

The transformation to an inclusive school is the outflow of the philosophy of the school that sees every child as a God golden gift, with golden potentialities, and a golden future.

A TRIBUTE TO TONY

Tony is an intellectual giant. In his last days his ideas on reconciliation blown by the wind from South Africa pulsate in the ripples of his powerful mind in the waves of Philippine politics.
Escuela del Nino de Oro is our tribute to this simple, humble, and self giving man. It is conceived in a garage where he held office in his last days, while the institutions he helped build throughout Asia grow in stature in prestige and in physical plants.
In the laughter of the kids we see his humor and hear his joy, in their aspiration for excellence we see his dream for the development of rural human resources in Asia.
Knowing his friends, we know more of him: the late Jaime Cardinal Sin, Bishop Leonardo Ligazpi, OP DD, Bishop Oscar Cruz. The circle of his friends speaks of the impact of the influence of his mind in the world of Philippine Church and Politics.
I remember, once in all souls day, we visited him and offered flowers in his grave.

SHORT STORY: I REMEMBER

"I remember, it was one sunny July day, the fourth day, when you teased me, and I teased you. You ran and I ran after you. You stopped to pick up the spider from her web. I joined you. You whispered something to the spider, and your voice sounded sweet and mellow to me. I giggled and smiled at you. You winked at me with mischief in your eyes.

"You ran and I ran after you.You raised your clinched fist, campaign jingles in perfect cadence flow form your mouth.A signal for our party mates to sing the song. It was the Junior Student Council election day. You were a candidate for President. She was the candidate of the other party for secretary .

"We passed through a group noisy girls in well pressed white uniform. There was a commotion. Somebody cried. She was setting on the cement, kicking with rage the air. You stood in front of her. Holding your hands up with open palm, your face pleaded for innocence.

"Those were during our elementary days when we were young, playful and innocent ."

"There was a spider in your clinched fist."

"I really have crush on her."

"You and your quick hand. You made her cry."

"I just wanted to tickle here with the spider."

"You lost her heart and destroyed your campus political career."

"I still have you. Remember what I whispered to the spider?"

I reached out for Melchor's hand. Gem our only son came out of the kinder classroom. We walked our way home!

We have to dream to call the world to correction. The energies of our tender years are like the stars that could bring brightness to the dark night of man's soul. Our baby smiles are the torches that bring hope to men who walk in circle in the darkness of the noonday sun.

Let us dream and let our dream move men of good will. Let us dream and write and share our dreams!
